Materials unavailable in the Tamkang University Library often may be obtained from other libraries or document delivery sources. | Who May Use This Service? |

Document Delivery/Interlibrary loan is a service offered Tamkang University Library faculty, students and staff who are engaged in research.

| Service Limitation |

Holdings which available in TKU Library are not applied to the service.

Interlibrary loan service is for academic purpose only.

Overall photocopying of Master’s theses or doctoral dissertations requires the permission of the author.

| Time Required |
|
|
|
The average time required to obtain material from another source is three days to two weeks. Requests that must be sent internationally usually is two weeks to four weeks which may take considerably longer than this average.

| Other Regulations |
|
|

Applicants who default on their applying after one month of being notified will be suspended the right to the service until paying off the required fees.

Applicants who apply for in-person checking out from other libraries but default on their application, or fail to hand in the application form with the related fees in three days will be suspended the right to the service for one semester.

Applicants who fail to return the books by the expiry date will be fined. The repeated violators up to three times will be suspended the right to the service for one semester.

| Duration of Loans |
|
|
|
The loan period borrowed material is set by the lending library and is indicated on a date due slip in the book. Materials borrowed from other sources cannot be renewed. Borrowers will be billed for non-returned overdue items. If a borrower continually disregards due dates, it may be necessary to refuse further service. Books should be returned to the Reference Service Desk of Main Library. |
